Beaverhead County High School
We are the Dillon Beavers! BCHS is the Beaverhead County high school located in Dillon Montana. Our staff and students are proud of the fact that Beaverhead County High School has received, in the past, the MBI "Exemplar School" award and achieving "Platinum Status" as a part of our MBI Program. Beaverhead County High was the first high school in the state of Montana to achieve “Platinum Status", which is a reflection of the positive and respectful atmosphere we have worked hard to create and maintain. Although, the MBI Program through the Office of Public Instruction no longer exists, Beaverhead County High School has transitioned their MBI program to the MTSS (Multi-Tied Systems of Support) model now endorsed by the OPI. In addition, BCHS has achieved regular accreditation status by the Montana Office of Public Instruction as well as being approved for a much more stringent accreditation process from the AdvancED organization which was formerly the Northwest Regional Accreditation organization.

Beaverhead County Museum
A branded boardwalk connects the buildings and provides access to many outdoor exhibits. Built in 1950, the original museum was the log framed building and over the years the Torrey Lodge and Whitworth House were connected to the main museum. A cabin built by Thomas Poindexter in 1885 was moved to the museum in 1988. The museum's campus also includes the Argenta One-Room Schoolhouse, the Train Depot (built in 1909) and Depot Theatre. The Indigenous Peoples of Southwestern Montana exhibit is an exploration of the people who have lived in these mountains and valleys for at least the last 12,000 years. Beaverhead County played an important role in the Corps of Discovery, where Lewis & Clark met with Shoshone Indians at Camp Fortunate, as depicted in the Lewis & Clark Diorama. Come discover southwest Montana history at the Beaverhead County Museum!
